Ingredients:

Chamomile, Passionflower, Lemon Balm, Skullcap, Valerian Root, Lavender, Rose.

Instructions:

Steep 1-2 tsp. in a strainer with a cup of hot water. Steep for 3-7 mins. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea. I like to make this cup strong so I steep for longer and use a little more than 2 tsp.

Best Time to Drink:

After you’ve gotten ready for bed and are ready to relax for the rest of the evening. This blend contains powerful herbs that can have strong effects so it’s best to be ready to close your eyes whenever you feel the relaxation take over you.

Ingredient Spotlight - passionflower

Passionflower is a climbing vine that is native to the southeastern United States and Central and South America. There are about 500 known species of passionflower, also known as Passiflora. P. incarnata (maypop) leaves and roots have a long history of use as a traditional medicine by Native Americans in North America to treat a variety of conditions including boils, wounds, earaches, liver problems, and as a sedative. Spanish explorers learned about passionflower from native Peruvians and named these plants for their resemblance to a crucifix. The plant was then brought to Europe, where it became widely cultivated and was introduced to European folk medicine to treat restlessness, agitation, and anxiety. Today, passionflower is promoted as a dietary supplement for anxiety and sleep problems, as well as for pain, heart rhythm problems, menopausal symptoms, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. It is applied to the skin for burns and to treat hemorrhoids.
